The Lillingstone Trust Community Laboratory

The Community Laboratory is situated within the Discovery Centre at the Royal Latin School in Buckingham.  

The Lillingstone Trust funded the fitting out of the laboratory which is specifically designed to share the love of science with primary schools, special schools and the wider community.

Science Fayres have been attended by over 500 pupils in a single year.

The Discovery Centre was officially opened by Lord Winston and John Bercow in 2015.

The Lillingstone Trust funds a series of community science lectures given by visiting speakers from universities, companies and entrepreneurs.

The outreach program supports local primary schools by offering science resource packs and support from the school’s science technicians.  A year 5 and 6 science fair is held each year in the Community Laboratory.  The Sports Campus run primary school sports fairs during the year as well as teacher training sessions for local primary school teachers.
